Did you know that before the PENTAGON was built there was an airport there called "The Washington Hoover" airport?

Actually, the Pentagon "Puzzle Palace" was originally designed as a "corn maze", on the back part of the airfield, but some politician thought it'd look better with bricks.

Interesting about the name. Hoover and Roosevelt(who was pres when the Pentagon was built) were personal and political enemies. No wonder it was bulldozed. And much history we are told about WWII is not right when heard from others. You should read 'Freedom Betrayed" by Herbert Hoover edited by George Nash.

For a glimpse of what used to be in American history books before WWII and somewhat thereafter you should read Charles Beard (he wrote all the history books) before he was black-balled by the MSM, FDR supporters-commie democrat liberals and the liberal academic clique. Try "President Roosevelt and the Coming of the War 1941" - Beard

Pretty Cool. I hated the Pentagon, My Guys did installations and being the Tech Boss I would occasionally go over there to check up. Inevitably, I would get lost in that Bastard and my ETs loved busting my Chops about it too!

I knew about that and they moved it due to location plan strategically for the pentagon. Thus the next design was eventually being Reagan National Airport a few clicks away.
