Military service provides a wealth of experience that is highly valued by employers. It can also be very valuable in reducing the costs and credits needed to earn your college degree. The University of Cincinnati will accept and award college credit for your military training and experience in the U.S. Armed Forces or National Guard as long as it has been approved by the American Council on Education or a regional accrediting body. Military credit, as reported on a military transcript, is accepted at UC.

Once your military courses are evaluated, we will send you a Credit Evaluation Report showing the equivalent courses and credit hours that transfer to UC. Decisions about how your credits apply to specific academic programs are made by the college or department that offers your major.

The University of Cincinnati believes that you should be rewarded for the hard work and dedication you put into your military career. Put your experience to use and take the next step towards your future!

I used A.C.E. and CLEP to get over a years worth of college credits. They may have changed the name now, but almost every military course is good for some credits. I think Boot Camp was good for 3 in physical training.

Yes I did. And in the 80s the school I got my 2nd degree from gave me credit for it in my degree work.

I entered active duty with a Bachelors and was working on my Masters when my military service came to an untimely end. Some of you know the story.

My military experience was very helpful in my AAS and BS. My M,Ed. was all me.
