Military service provides a wealth of experience that is highly valued by employers. It can also be very valuable in reducing the costs and credits needed to earn your college degree. The University of Cincinnati will accept and award college credit for your military training and experience in the U.S. Armed Forces or National Guard as long as it has been approved by the American Council on Education or a regional accrediting body. Military credit, as reported on a military transcript, is accepted at UC.

Once your military courses are evaluated, we will send you a Credit Evaluation Report showing the equivalent courses and credit hours that transfer to UC. Decisions about how your credits apply to specific academic programs are made by the college or department that offers your major.

yes I did know that through experience, got my Bachelors degree in 1982. But great information and I'll pass it on.

Also in the case of the Air Force, the Community College of the Air Force is once source within the service that Your Military training converts to college credit with a transcript of grades The Community College of the Air Force can award an Associate degree themselves for those that completed the requirements in their course of study.

Yep... Back in the '60's and '70's it was called "CLEP". A lot of us took advantage of it.

I do know about that, but since I got my degree before going on active duty, it's a moot point in my case.

Didn't do me much good, with a BA and several Army schools and three years of active duty including Vietnam as a platoon leader, shop officer,company XO, company commander and battalion staff officer experience; when I went to grad school I got 4 hours credit for 'Health."
