I came across this while doing unrelated research today and thought I would share it. While the smaller farmer is being forced out of business to the large corporate farms, someone is trying lure Veterans into starting a family farm? I think I need to start a program directed at trying to get GI Bill money too.

Nice post,probably not feasible for the area i live in.The smallest farmer i know here farms over 8,000 acres.

CPT Private RallyPoint Member My granddad was a farmer, my dad was a farmer and builder, we need great farmers, we can never have enough food.
Of course granddad always said, 'do you know how to become a millionaire farmer?'
I said 'No'
He said 'start farming when you have ten million dollars'
So guess he did not do it for the money. :)
