To much silly bickering and less actual debate about topics. CNN set this thing up to be a Trump Bash. Fiorina and Carson and Rubio did the best in my opinion. My opinion is they never say anything meaningful and are saying only what they think they need to in order to get elected. I prefer to go on someone's historical track record. How they voted if they are/were a sitting politician is a good way to see. It is harder for the non-politician candidates like Trump where we only have their business record to go on. As I am an independent, I cannot vote in the primary anyways so I will have to wait and see where the dust settles. CNN accomplished their mission of giving the Democrats the sound bites they are looking for and making the GOP beat each other up.

There were some very good points, as well as bad, but, overall, no surprises and don't see that it changed anybody's minds, other than, maybe, moving Carly Fiorina up a few notches on the radar screen. But one critique I have even before watching is there are way too many people on the stage at one time. Each trying to take a 30 sec answer and stretch it to two minutes. Maybe the real solution to these next debates is allow the public to vote on who they want to see. The candidates with the most votes are who America wants to hear the most from with a max number on stage of seven. They get prime time, views and more time to accurately answer questions. The others that didn't make the cut still get equal time to show what they've got, but do it at another time. This puts the voting public in charge early; not the candidates. It also forces the candidates to come with real answers other than I'm gonna make a big wall; a grand wall; a wall so massive; it will still be a wall. I originally thought the first repub debate was the anti Trump show, but looking back at it, Fox was on to something; instead of playing nice with the candidates hit them where it hurts. Show America their tendencies to flip flop on issues. Show America that the person standing before you voted like this or that backed with facts and make them explain it without the ability to double talk their way out of it. For some reason I'm paying more attention to the repub debates maybe because of Trump, or the Dems just don't seem exciting to me right now.
