All other requirements are met, besides a half credit of math. Is there any way he can enlist in any service, active duty and reserve included?Didn't graduate High School, now what?2015-05-20T14:55:11-04:00SSG Private RallyPoint Member683861<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>A friend of mine missed graduation by half a credit. Either he can finish or he can get a GED. For half a credit I would just go back and finish.Response by SGT David T. made May 20 at 2015 3:03 PM2015-05-20T15:03:22-04:002015-05-20T15:03:22-04:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member683918<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Can he not take a summer school math course and make it up? Then graduate?Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made May 20 at 2015 3:05 PM2015-05-20T15:05:11-04:002015-05-20T15:05:11-04:00SPC Nate Lamphier684008<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>The school district I am employed under has a system in which kids can finish (make up lost credit) using a computer program. Once that requirement is met then their diploma is signed as if they would have received it on normal terms.<br /><br />With that said, working on a computer program can be tougher for kids because it is self-paced (often times more work) with no one chasing them down reminding them of assignments. Since I am sure your buddy has had a teacher/administrator reminding him of the much needed credit for graduation over an extended period of time....I hope he buckles down and becomes a productive member of whatever career path he decides to enter.Response by SPC Nate Lamphier made May 20 at 2015 3:29 PM2015-05-20T15:29:56-04:002015-05-20T15:29:56-04:00GySgt Private RallyPoint Member684577<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>He can still enlist. It is a easy make up for that part. He can still join. It's not like he is a year behind. Once completed, he can ship off.Response by GySgt Private RallyPoint Member made May 20 at 2015 6:30 PM2015-05-20T18:30:27-04:002015-05-20T18:30:27-04:002015-05-20T14:55:11-04:00
