Disagreeing with the new USAREUR commander? Have lost our country?

There is a new USAREUR that was appointed by the POTUS is none other than Brigadier General Markus Laubenthal. He can and probably will start as early as Monday 11AUG2014. George Washington was once quoted saying: “‘Tis our true policy to steer clear of permanent Alliances, with any portion of the foreign world.” George Washington, Farewell Address, September 19, 1796. I think that what President Washington said is a thing of our past. A lot has changed since then and the world is a much different place. We have SMs in NATO as leaders there, we serve in close proximity to the South Koreans with the KATUSA program. We have had alliances with portions of the foreign world, since the revolution when the French helped and fought with us against the British. We always have had alliances, and they will always exist. We have moved away from the isolationist views that were so prevalent during that time.
