Disrespect for the fallen in the Military...opinions?

Surely most of you have seen online and in the news, people from different branches of the military posting disgraceful comments and photos on the internet. One photo of a group of Airmen posing humorously around an open casket with another airman pretending to be dead inside it, another similar photo with soldiers, instead, and a third photo of a female complaining online about how cold it is outside during their funeral detail, saying somebody's getting a jacked up flag. There's still more I could list. And the worst part...there are NCOs posing in those pictures.

These people make me sick. What are your opinions?

Everyone in that photo should get the book thrown at them for whatever violation of the UCMJ they can put it under. Absolutely disrespectful to all members of the Armed Forces as well as those that have gave the ultimate sacrifice and their families. It makes all of us look bad. The actions of those few have negative effects on each and every one of us. Absolutely disgusted by it myself.

After 27 years in uniform, you'd think it would be impossible for a Soldier (or Sailor, or Airman, or Marine) to surprise me with their innovative ways to screw up. Once again, they have managed to astound me. This recent rash of incidences concerning funerals and disrespect to fallen/MIA crosses the line into complete insanity. The actions of these individuals is obscene and should be punished to the fullest extent allowed by the Uniform Code of Military Justice!

The most unfortunate part of all of these incidences is the fact that social media allows our embarrasment to spread across the entire planet. Ten years ago an idiot's actions could at least be kept local.

Oh, and as for the NCOs in the picture, figure out a way to make them Privates as quickly as possible while we process them for a Dishonorable Discharge. They are not leaders and I don't want them in our military!

In reference to the NG soldiers standing around and posing in various styles and positions around a mock casket I do not thing their intent was to disgrace themselves, the service or the fallen. I believe those soldiers had a moment of stupidity and bad judgement, and I am wondering if they had an NCO present that could have said, "Hey I know we are serious about our job but this may be percieved as being disprespect so lets not do this".
