Divorce in the military... Military's fault? Or not

My wife has seperation issues and due to myself being gone weve had issues in our marriage, wondering if people think its the military's fault for this type of thing or the individual couple for not resolving issues before they spiral out of control?

No, not the military's fault; but can be a contributing factor if the parties concerned are not strong enough to handle separation.
Encourage your wife to get involved in the unit's FRG and seek counseling (individual/marriage)...counseling should not just be used when there are issues.

If you or your spouse know they cannot handle a separation, they (or you) may need to work on yourself first...then come together for marriage counseling.
Either way, see your unit's Chaplain...they are a great resource.

No. Servicemember must learn balance. Spouse must learn to be patriot and supporter and compromise/support servicemember overall with complete understanding. Divorce is choice; military does not issue/unissue spouses.

sgm my ex wife was involved with frg, but after the ambush and the loss of my eldest daughter, frg and the unit addvised her to hide my guns when i came home ,thats it, we went to marriage counsellig, family counselling, grief counselling on our own. after 4 years of spiralling down she left, it was'nt untill i went to cbt for ptsd that i got life together, but we're not

PV2 (Join to see) the absolute hardest job in the military is a spouse of a military member. Having been married for over 20 yrs I have seen it first hand. Others have mentioned people to talk to I recommend the MFLC.
