Your barracks arrangements will depend on which post and furthermore what Bde/Bn you're with

from experience, E-1 to E-4 (exception is CPL) had room mates. You are not yet at the rank that requires a certain amount of living space, privacy, and separation for good order and discipline. That being said, should you be put in a leadership position over other Soldiers in your unit, command can determine that you need that degree of separation, and should 4187 a lateral promotion to CPL.

had a roommate that was married and lived off post and until he got quarters I lived alone.
