Does it depend on what capacity or the particular function you are performing?
I'm pretty new to the whole reserve side of things and I apologize if the question is vague.

If anyone has any resources or links where I could learn more about how these particular positions function, I would be very grateful. Believe they have both the authority and the rank, believe it flips back and forth through the weekend vs the reserve weekend. 1stSgt Private RallyPoint Member Sun, 24 Mar 2019 04:24:41 -0400 2019-03-24T04:24:41-04:00 Response by Col Gonzalo Arturo Gutierrez Orozco made Mar 28 at 2019 9:30 AM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/do-air-reserve-technicians-have-the-authority-of-a-civilian-gs-worker-their-military-rank-or-both?n=4491858&urlhash=4491858

No much accion here or no work!!!! As far as I know, your rank applies when you're on orders, UTA or TDY status, Annual Tour, etc., otherwise you're probably in your Civilian GS status. Also, I noticed below your photo is a MC Cpl rank and an Air Reserve Technician is usually an Air Force related position...which is it???
