Do any recruiters or career counselors know what jobs are available for active duty? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/do-any-recruiters-or-career-counselors-know-what-jobs-are-available-for-active-duty <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>The last time I saw a list of jobs available for people transitioning from reserves to active was in April. Just interested in knowing if anything has changed. I hear the jobs for prior service business rules change more often than not. When you enlisted for the Reserves you were trained in a specific MOS, right. Now you want to transition to the Active component, but not in your initial MOS. The way it works is choosing an MOS is based on, are you qualified for the field, and is there a school seat available to coincide with you transition. You will need to coordinate with them while going through MEPs as boat spaces are first come first serve. The FY is almost up and new openings for FY22 should be known. Getting with them now to grab something when the FY22 window opens is your best bet for getting something decent SSgt Christophe Murphy Wed, 01 Sep 2021 10:16:34 -0400 2021-09-01T10:16:34-04:00 Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 1 at 2021 12:52 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/do-any-recruiters-or-career-counselors-know-what-jobs-are-available-for-active-duty?n=7235814&urlhash=7235814 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Do you live in New York City ? If, by some chance you are wanting to keep your MOS and there is a slot available at that time, then take it and you&#39;re done just have to do the Oath and wait to ship. If your MOS is not available, then what is available for what you qualify for will be provided to you. You then pick the one that interests you most, do the Oath then wait to ship. You have to remember that the list will change pretty much daily, so what is there when you sit down with the Counselor may not be the list from 3 days prior.
