Sometimes. For the most important offices, there is plenty of information out there already. But for people running for lesser offices, about whom there is little information and discussion already happening, seeing who endorsed them can give a quick snapshot into what they are about.

Only when considering my opinion of the politician doing the endorsing. For example, my opinion of Chris Christie sank through the toilet when he endorsed Donald Trump.

Not in the least. That's like using someone else's opinion as a citation of your own opinion. Just because two idiots agree doesn't make them correct. I will look at their reasoning though and consider if what they are saying is making sense or if its emotional based or circular reasoning. In any event, I like to take all the information I can get my hands on then evaluate it and make my own decision. Of course I am always happy to share my opinions with everybody else. ;-)

Only on rare occasion and that's on a local level, i.e. a county board and state house member who work a lot together on improving education endorsing each other to keep progress going. Higher up there's so much BS flying in the air it's all talking heads. I do get offended by religious leaders going down the political road. Separation of church and state should work both ways. When they are going political, they're not properly serving their congregations. Im sure others may feel differently.

Only if the person giving the endorsement has some form of ethical background. If a junk news site gives an endorsement, that doesn't mean anything. I mean how does one take CNN seriously when they endorse Hilary Clinton?

When anyone does their own research, does that not indicate researching a candidate involves perusing periodicals, social media and other purveyors of THEIR TRUTHS. I will admit I use most anything that can give me insight on a decision to be made. Most anything does not mean I will believe the source without coming to a decision on the validity of that source. The difference in the reputation of one candidate to the other requires a bit more intense scrutiny than to rely entirely on the National Inquirer, or the word of the local biased newspaper editor. Classic example would be believing one movie star over another. Clint Eastwood's reputation versus Michael Moore's is a No Brainer to the conservative, but to a Moore fan, the opposite applies. How many voters do you actually know, who have had a personal "one on one "conversation with the candidates before making a decision. That would be the ultimate in research. Face to face eliminates more doubt than 3 speeches,.....but....we have to rely on how our mind processes the info ( research ) we feed it. Listening to Norman Swartzkoph discuss tactics gives us a bit more confidence than if we were listening to the community National Guard guru. Soooo, when I make a decision about politics, I might listen to the local farmer, but my decision will not rest solely with him. Usually, my decision will be more receptive to a common sense approach than to never allow any meaningful discussion.

Not one damn bit. Just because you have an opinion I should listen to you about who would make a better choice? Their decision is not going to affect me one way or the other. I dig up all I can to see who's actually telling the truth the most, and go with them, If you do nothing but lie and some celebutard, fellow scumba..I mean politician, or reporter endorses you, your behavior is not going to change. Do your own research, and make an informed choice for yourself.
