Do I have to attend the 52 weeks of 68C MOS? Since I have my bachelors degree, can that time be halved?

I finish my bachelors degree recently and I want to join the Army as a 68C. I saw that the MOS is 52 weeks long and my question is ¿ that if I have to attend the 52 weeks or since I have my bachelors degree maybe that time can be halved??

You will have the priviledge of enjoying all 52 weeks just like everyone else. I also went through the course after having a bachelor's degree. May I ask why you aren't looking to commission?

Wait a minute...whoa...youve got a Bach already? What major? What GPA? Would you want to try for Army WOCS, an OCS, or an OIS indoc program for direct commission? And how much STEM have you done, specific course titles, OK? Math? Physics? Bio? Chem? Engineering? Comp sci (CS)? IT? He mor you send in, the more I or ohers might suggest, OK? Look at the USPHS COSTEP, the USPHS analogue to ROTC, and specifically the nursing recruitment pages...also, look up USUHS, not USPHS only, USUHS is the mil svc clinical school, look up their grad school of nurwingz I'll try to send you that stuff as soon as I can, OK? Alsoz what clinical exposure have you had this far? EMT? AEMT? Paramedic? Anything hospital of office based? Elaborate on hat also, OK?

And the svcs have an intersvc PA program Army runs at Ft Dam Houston, look it up, as well, OK? USCG also uses PAs, I'm not sure if USCG participates wit the other svcs, there's also a new program to encourage enlisted to go for medicine, look that up as well, I'm unsure how it'd apply to warrant ormdommissioned, if you went that way first, OK?

You will enjoy 2 months at Ft Sam and then the remaining time of your yr at one of 5 MEDCENTs doing phase 2 and 3. The only exception is if you already have your LPN/ LVN in good standing and reclassified to 68C and AMED C&S allowas it you will attention phase 3 at FT Sam (criticalCare training) then upon completion you will PCS to your new duty station. I had a soldier that was civ LPN and that is what happened to her. Phase 3 and PCS. So short answer is enjoy the 52 wk PCS.

Unless you degree is Directly related to that MOS, then you will attend the entire course and be happy. Being College educated is not the same as being Army trained. SF medics with no degree have had to surgery that some hospitals won't do. There is the right way, the Army way and Your Way, the Army Way will always win.

As a 23 yr 68C and now a BSN, unless your Bachelors degree is in nursing, you'll have to attend all 52 weeks. There are specific criterias that have to be met to sit for State Boards...

I came in with a Bachelor's degree - I did my 16 weeks and 4 days of AIT like every other (then) 96B (now 35F).

There is no waiver for cycle entry or exit training. The military’s standards and processes are different than a university would teach. For example, you can have a degree in computer tech and still have to attend AIT. Enjoy the brotherhood. Thank you for your service.

And if you still want a regular SVC, look at Navy and USAF also, you can't limit yourself solely to Army, trust me, been there, done that (BTDT), honest, OK?

Nothing in your bachelors degree changes how you will learn to be an LVN. Your bachelors may make some parts easier depending what it is in, but nothing will substitute the entire course. Only someone like me with a BSN would make a difference and then you become an RN, not an LVN.

You can skip AIT if you completed a Civilian LPN Program, possess a License, and have some work experience. The program is called ACASP, Army Acquired Skills Program. It can be found in AR 601-210.

Im currently enlisted as a 68c and all the information i received when i enlisted 2 weeks ago and the only way for you to skip AIT is by having a active LPN license. other wise our degree only gives you rank. I was applicable to waive AIT. this is called Acasp program if you need information on it.

You are going to have to elaborate. Either you are not giving us the complete story here or some recruiter feeding you bogus information. If, as you said in a other comment, you have a BSN, then you should not be seeing a regular enlisted recruiter but a specialized AMEDD recruiter. Where is your BSN degree from (is it accredited?), what state is your original RN license from, are you eligible for a secret security clearance? You do not need to take ASVAB for a direct commission into the Army’s Nurse Corps if you have a BSN? Why go to school for another year for lesser vo-tech type training in a similar field when the difference in pay and scope of practice is tremendous inside or out of the Army?

Go OCS ! I joined with a bachelor’s degree also now I’m waiting to got OCS , just skip the middle part . Lower enlisted is not a great life compared to Officer life.
