Do I have to do Reserves to get my full separation pay after hitting my RCP at 8 years as a Specialist?

So I been in the army 8 years I am a specialist and I hit my RCP im told i get seperation pay. My question is am o required to do reserves to recieve this seperation pay?

I assume you are referring to Retention Control Points and involuntary separation. Separation pay doesn't require you to still be in. The whole point is that you are being separated. You need to talk to your finance folks and admin folks to get a better grasp of everything happening. Now is the time to ask questions to those in the system

No, it will be just like ETS. You get orders, and while clearing Finance- you get your briefing and told what pay and when it will come. All done at your current station

If you are eligible for Separation pay, you must agree to three years in the Reserve Component. Those can be met with an IRR contract.

But I should point out that the RCP for a promotable SPC is 10 years, not eight. You also have to extend to within 30 days of your RCP, and not be flagged at the time of your separation.

You will incur a three year obligation in the USAR/ NG for accepting separation pay. So, the short answer is yes.
