However, if I apply for graduate school, I would apply in December and get admitted around May.
So, do I have to apply Green to Gold program before I apply for my graduate school? Or do I have to be admitted before I apply Green to Gold?
I think it is more reasonable to apply Green to Gold program beforehand, because it would be messed up when I get admitted graduate school and fail to be in Green to Gold, which means I have to quit my opportunity.

Thank you Wed, 03 Jun 2020 09:12:24 -0400 Do I have to get in to the school first for green to gold program active duty option? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/do-i-have-to-get-in-to-the-school-first-for-green-to-gold-program-active-duty-option

Hi,
I am currently an enlisted active duty soldier and want to apply green to gold program active duty option for my graduate degree.
It seems confusing to me because green to gold program window opens in June and closes in November. Keep that in mind.

Search the G2G handbook and read it front and back, then do it again.

Good luck! 2LT Private RallyPoint Member Wed, 03 Jun 2020 09:19:31 -0400 2020-06-03T09:19:31-04:00 Response by 1LT Private RallyPoint Member made Jun 3 at 2020 9:20 AM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/do-i-have-to-get-in-to-the-school-first-for-green-to-gold-program-active-duty-option?n=5964838&urlhash=5964838

I believe you just have to be requesting admission.

This seems like something the Army website should be able to answer for you. 1LT Private RallyPoint Member Wed, 03 Jun 2020 09:20:39 -0400 2020-06-03T09:20:39-04:00 Response by Maj Scott Kiger, M.A.S. made Jun 3 at 2020 1:50 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/do-i-have-to-get-in-to-the-school-first-for-green-to-gold-program-active-duty-option?n=5965604&urlhash=5965604

Wish I could help you brother I see so many questions on this forum regarding. Army needs to simplify this program it seems. Marine Corps uses KISS principle in most things. My suggestion is find the Army Order pertaining: https://www.thebalancecareers.com/army-enlisted-commissioning-program-3345024 This is generic summary but find the order and call an administrative Soldier on the phone 'AFTER' you read the order. Point is if you want to be an Officer you need to be self sufficient/Self motivated and be able to decipher these kind of programs to Lead other soldiers through the process yourself. Happy reading! Get Motivated and don't stop pushing till you get what you want but do as much of it yourself as humanly possible FIRST! Good Luck!

All About the Army Green to Gold Program

Green to Gold is a program designed to allow enlisted soldiers to return to college, receive their degree, and earn a commission as an officer.

Maj Scott Kiger, M.A.S. It was not a requirement for phase 1. You just need to do the research and see if you will be able to graduate from that university in 21 months after starting. I applied and said I was going to the University of North Texas as a graduate student, and my major was social work. I was not accepted to the university and was selected for phase 2. That's when you apply to the school. I changed my major after seeing the work load I'd have to accomplish and I'm still on track to get selected. I've met all the requirements for phase 2 and I'm just hoping this next week, that my commander will be getting the orders this week. Don't hesitate to apply next year if you didn't this year! My process was hard, but not impossible and I thought about tapping out several times. It's just a long process with a lot of hurdles, but if your application is strong, you should get it!
