My wife isn’t planning on coming there until 2.5 months after me and we’re also covering the plane ticket. I want to avoid losing my duty station and being stuck here at Fort Gordon longer if i can. Once you are approved for command sponsorship then you can have your orders amended and the Army will fly your spouse out and even pick up her household goods and a car and move them.<br /><br />If you try to circumvent this process your spouse will not be covered for medical, travel, housing, or anything else. You will be given a room in the barracks and treated the same as any brand new Soldier arriving in the unit. As a new Soldier you will incur crippling financial expenses and if you do the BAH wrong you risk being charged with, and possibly going to jail for, BAH fraud.
