The school will re-issue it to you when you go, then you will turn that in at the end of OCS and it will be re-issue at your BOLC. So anything on your hand receipt from the unit they will want back every time you move. Some are transferable and some are not. You'll need to confirm with your unit supply NCO or S4. You are being discharged from your Reserve Unit, so those rules apply. In general, all accountable, non-expendable gear should be returned to supply. Expendable items are usually not returned. Unit equipment definitely should be returned. Also, anything you were issued on a hand receipt will need to be returned and the supply account cleared before you are discharged. Any exceptions should be spelled out in your PCS orders.
