Do I need to redo basic training?

I got out of the army less than 2 years ago due to pregnancy and it was the best choice at the time. However, my husband and I decided it’s best for me to re-enlist into the army. My question is, would I have to redo basic training??

As long as you completed Army Basic, you shouldn't have to attend again. Did you complete your AIT?

All depends. Most likely not if within 4-5 years. But your best best is to talk with a recruiter for the latest and greatest. Be aware that as a prior service you fall under USAREC’s Business Rules. Meaning you get what the Army needs you. Priority is your current MOS but not always.

After pregnancy, and being out longer than you were in...I would suggest it.

I was told by my recruiter that if you had a break greater than 3 years you’ll have to go through again. Talk to a recruiter and see what they say

Have you talked to a recruiter yet? They would have the most current and correct information.

I was told by the counselors at MEPS who you sit down with to sign your contract, something my recruiter said was 5 year's. No it's only 3 max and if your over that 3 yrs, you have to re-take basic again according to Army Business Rules. It recently changed I was told. It use to be 5 yrs, now it's 3 yrs. Disappointing cuz I was gonna re-enlist until hearing that.

If you completed basic,then most likely you will not have to repeat it. I don't think there is time limit. If you decide to go to a different service then you might. I did navy basic,go out and then decided to go army,had to do army basic. Switched to air force and did not have to do basic again. But did have to go to school for the job I chose. Good luck.
