I advise you to go see the doctors to get all your medical issues recorded before you exit out. So the ides system will track you. If you're completely healthy. You probably will not get separation pay. Separation pay is for retirees and those whom involuntarily separated. Good luck on your future career soldier.Response by SSG Waldo Yamada made Apr 4 at 2016 1:25 PM2016-04-04T13:25:38-04:002016-04-04T13:25:38-04:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member1428183<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I believe you do, however, if you choose to retire from the reserves, it may cost you in retirement payments.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 4 at 2016 2:17 PM2016-04-04T14:17:43-04:002016-04-04T14:17:43-04:00SGM Matthew Quick1428944<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Are you being involuntarily separated?Response by SGM Matthew Quick made Apr 4 at 2016 6:04 PM2016-04-04T18:04:00-04:002016-04-04T18:04:00-04:00Maj Marty Hogan1429205<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I have never heard of anyone getting separation pay for medical or any other reason at less than 15 years. This is not the forum I would be asking- your local Personnel or Finance could address your specific situation. I left active duty after 4 years on my contract and got a DD214...that was it. If you have contributed to TSP you will have something in the future, but you should not have nay benefit for serving 3 years.Response by Maj Marty Hogan made Apr 4 at 2016 7:50 PM2016-04-04T19:50:11-04:002016-04-04T19:50:11-04:00SGM Matthew Quick1429529<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>In your case, <a class="dark-link bold-link" role="profile-hover" data-qtip-container="body" data-id="50455" data-source-page-controller="question_response_contents" href="/profiles/50455-68j-medical-logistics-specialist-314th-mp-324th-mp">SPC Private RallyPoint Member</a>, based on your information, you will not qualify for separation pay because you will not have 6 years or more on separation.Response by SGM Matthew Quick made Apr 4 at 2016 10:18 PM2016-04-04T22:18:45-04:002016-04-04T22:18:45-04:002016-04-04T13:17:24-04:00
