So at this point you are authorized the KDSM. When you finish up your tour around Jun &#39;17(that&#39;s a guess, my tour was 13 mos and not regarded as overseas) or so and head for the big iron bird you will then be authorized the OSR. Simply, you will get a KDSM if you&#39;re in Korea for a month or longer. You will get an OSR for being overseas for a total of 9 months in a row or longer. If you&#39;re stationed there for a year like most people you will get both.
