When are you getting married? You can't get orders to reflect a spouse until you have a spouse. You should be getting guidance on this from your leadership to help you make informed decisions.Response by SSgt Christophe Murphy made Nov 8 at 2022 1:02 PM2022-11-08T13:02:19-05:002022-11-08T13:02:19-05:00COL Randall C.7971735

Would your orders change before you're married? No.
Will they change after you're married? Maybe, but you'll have to push the system.

AFTER you have a marriage license and are officially married, you both can enter into the Married Army Couples program (MACP)*. To quote the regulation (AR 614-200), "enrollment in the MACP does not guarantee reassignment together but does ensure that both Soldiers will be automatically considered for future joint-domicile assignments."

Once enrolled, then you can push the Army to relook assignments under the MACP. It's possible you could be extended, she could be curtailed, or that one is sent and the other follows. It all depends on what assignments are possible, how many round pegs they need in round holes at the different locations, etc.
------------------------------------
* https://www.hrc.army.mil/content/Married%20Army%20Couples%20Program

But you can request a HAAP back to your location to rejoin your spouse, or they can reenlist for an assignment and you can meet them there.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Nov 8 at 2022 5:26 PM2022-11-08T17:26:38-05:002022-11-08T17:26:38-05:00MAJ Javier Rivera7972747

Don't hold your breath. Even after six years of retirement, I can perceive (not factual) you are trying to outsmart the system. I'm not a saying you are, but as the old saying goes: “perception is reality.”Response by MAJ Javier Rivera made Nov 9 at 2022 9:52 AM2022-11-09T09:52:33-05:002022-11-09T09:52:33-05:002022-11-08T12:31:23-05:00
