Do Officers (currently serving) transitioning from National Guard to Regular Army have to take the OPAT? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/do-officers-currently-serving-transitioning-from-national-guard-to-regular-army-have-to-take-the-opat <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I am currently a 70H in the NG and was board selected for another Active Duty AMEDD AOC. My AMEDD recruiter said I need to take the OPAT. It just seems redundant if I have a passing APFT? I&#39;d prefer not having to take a vacation day and drive out and do the OPAT if I don&#39;t have to. The OPAT though is supposed to more representative of the ACFT not the APFT so you might need to take it to complete the commissioning packet.
