CPT Private RallyPoint Member5325716<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I am currently a NG 70H board selected for another Active Duty AMEDD AOC. My recruiter stated that RA will not cut an AD order until the NG produces a Separation Order back dated to the day I sign my contract. I will not complete my DA 71A until I arrive my first unit, which means I will have a break in service for an unknown amount of time, e.g. not earning a Drill check or more point, until I arrive at my unit and complete a DA 71A. This is different than what other ARNG members have to do that go through the Call to Active Duty program. Wondering why AMEDD is different or am I being told the wrong informationDo Reserve or National Guard AMEDD Officers transitioning to RA have to have a break in service before they start Active Duty?2019-12-09T15:16:18-05:00CPT Private RallyPoint Member5325716<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I am currently a NG 70H board selected for another Active Duty AMEDD AOC. I apologize if this appears verbose or incoherent, but I am not totally lucid now.Response by MAJ Ken Landgren made Dec 9 at 2019 3:28 PM2019-12-09T15:28:28-05:002019-12-09T15:28:28-05:00MAJ Ken Landgren5326496<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Essentially the BASD on your orders bringing you to Active Duty will be adjusted back in time to give you credit for AD time.Response by MAJ Ken Landgren made Dec 9 at 2019 7:14 PM2019-12-09T19:14:45-05:002019-12-09T19:14:45-05:00CPT Private RallyPoint Member5326807<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>You would continue to report to your guard or reserve unit until they cut active duty orders to report to your new duty station, but you will need a dd368 to release you from guard in order to transfer to active duty which is good for either 3 or 6 months ( can’t recall off the top)Response by CPT Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 9 at 2019 9:32 PM2019-12-09T21:32:27-05:002019-12-09T21:32:27-05:00LTC Charles T Dalbec5327535<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I would suggest yo you that you would agree to a release to the IRR and they can deal with that. Thus no break in service.Response by LTC Charles T Dalbec made Dec 10 at 2019 6:16 AM2019-12-10T06:16:21-05:002019-12-10T06:16:21-05:002019-12-09T15:16:18-05:00
