As being new to this retirement pay thing, was wondering how I get notified of how much I get and what. Do we get an LES or something like it?

Sign up for MyPay, Sgt Maj. It is so easy to do, even a grunt can do it.

Yes, it is tracked on the My Pay web site. You have to go to the site and establish a login and you will see the pay data.

As everyone has said MYPAY is the way to go. Some warning though, crafting a password that will pass can be tricky and make sure you remember it or write it down. I don't have mine sent every month, since there is no major change in my pay, so why do I want that extra piece of paper. I go to MYPAY when I need to and can print the statement just as easy there. There is also like a formal letter you can print if you need to give to someone as proof of that income. Nice place, just remember that password.

You have the issue. I finally gave it up and go with the once a year paper accounting in my mail box.If you are anything like me, I have a spreadsheet with about 100 entities and the PWs associated with them. The pass word for DFAS is unwieldy and you have to change it periodically. I called and said to send me all LES in the mail and they said OK, but didn't. No matter, nothing changes that would create problems for me.
