Do Soldiers have an unrealistic belief of what they can earn post-military?

This Article in the Army Times claims that Soldiers, especially younger ones, have an inflated expectation of what they will make post-military. What do you think?

Although I came out in 1987 it was tough finding a career oriented job and not just menial work. Took me the better part of 13 years to finally land a career job. Every company I have ever worked for, aside from the Army and one other private company, all went tango uniform. I have reinvented myself so many times I don't even know who I am anymore!!!
