PFC Private RallyPoint Member912790<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I was recently asked if soldiers are required to use the linen issued to them, because they were told that it "wasn't in regulation" for them to use their own. I honestly don't know but I did read up on the regulation about linen and it never mentioned anything of it. I don't want to lead the individual astray though because I'm not sure if their company policy may state that they cannot use their personal linenDo soldiers have to use the linen issued to them??2015-08-23T19:07:35-04:00PFC Private RallyPoint Member912790<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I was recently asked if soldiers are required to use the linen issued to them, because they were told that it "wasn't in regulation" for them to use their own. Are you talking basic training or a similar training environment? Then yes, you can be told that you can only have what is issued. In the barracks after the soldier has been assigned to a unit? The answer is in the BOSS program. As long as you don't have linen with pot leafs or something else inappropriate then you can use what you want. That is unless there is some sort of corrective training being imposed where a soldier is restricted to only issued items and all those items must be provided.Response by PFC Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 23 at 2015 7:23 PM2015-08-23T19:23:39-04:002015-08-23T19:23:39-04:00MSG Private RallyPoint Member912902<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Before buying their own linen, find out what the company policy is. If it is permanent party barracks, chances are the command wont care even if they issue linen. Basic/AIT, damn skippy better use that issued linen.Response by MSG Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 23 at 2015 8:24 PM2015-08-23T20:24:33-04:002015-08-23T20:24:33-04:00CPT Private RallyPoint Member913429<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>That is something I have never heard of. If there is a unit policy like they have in basic training or AIT I suppose they can use it. But even I am at school or training base I will bring my own linen. I am not a fan of using the Army's.Response by CPT Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 24 at 2015 1:03 AM2015-08-24T01:03:59-04:002015-08-24T01:03:59-04:002015-08-23T19:07:35-04:00
