Do unvaccinated soldiers need to be tested if they are exposed to soldiers who test positive for covid? How long would they be in quarantine?

B: Are exposed to soldiers who have interacted with soldiers positive for covid? Additionally is there a certain time frame to clear or lift a quarantine if they are quarantined? Any input is appreciated

This varies from post to post and from one update to another. Your post will provide guidance. I can tell you now that we have access to more testing kits, most posts require everyone who came in contact with someone who tested positive to get tested, based on when they were themselves exposed. In the early days, before there were enough test kits, posts just quarantined everyone who came in contact with someone who tested positive

soldiers who are not vaccinated effect the deployability of the entire unit. They need to be transferred out immediately so that the vacancy can be filled with someone qualified.

Wait - you're a healthcare specialist (combat medic) and you don't know the procedure for people who are exposed to someone who tests positive? Is this for real?

Of all people, you should know your unit's process on when someone is exposed to covid. Your BN aid station at the very least should have sent something out to the companies, let alone medics, on the process for those exposed. If not, them, the BDE surgical cell.

I recommend you go talk to your aid station about your unit's process. In my unit, if you're notified that you were exposed to someone who tested positive, you have to go get tested and then quarantine until the results come back. If negative, you return to duty. If positive, go back to the aid station and follow instructions.
