Do we control our reality?

And have the discipline to follow it through. But yes, for the most part we do control our future, in my opinion.

I agree to some degree but I look at it as we are shaped by the choices that we make.

That is a fantasy. If you believe you can simply want something hard enough that you can get it by dreaming, desiring, hoping etc you will be greatly disappointed in life. Even through praying to God, sometimes the answer is no. God is not here (if you believe in him) to fill your every want/desire to be the goody box for mankind.

There is no scientific basis to the law of attraction - but like many other things that have no scientific basis, they still happen, occur, exist etc... hummm - is this yet another case for our creator? :-)

Sounds like what Timothy Leary preached in the 1960's as he was advocating use of LSD recreationally. We can certainly influence our reality by turning on lights, music, TV, phones, computers, cooling, heating etc.
For those who believe they control reality ask them to test it by walking across a freeway in rush hour traffic or jumping off a multi-story building.
Reminds me of solipsism - "Philosophy. the theory that only the self exists, or can be proved to exist. extreme preoccupation with and indulgence of one's feelings, desires, etc.; egoistic self-absorption."

We cannot change the current but our thoughts and our actions shape the future. The stronger you believe the more likely it will happen. Reality is nothing but the transfer of energy through time and we have the ability to control said energy with our minds, through our thoughts and through our bodies all controlled by the brain.

No, you cannot stop moving cars from hitting you if you step in front of them but what you can do is visualize yourself making it across the road and you will instinctively cross when the time is right. You can visualize yourself getting together with someone and in the future you will get together with that person. All you have to do is keep believing.
