Do we have any Unit Movement Officers or Unit Movement Coordinators here?

How many units have a Unit Movement Officer with a current Unit Movement Plan and a trained Load Team for Air, Sea, and Rail loading operations? If yes at what organizational level is your unit? If no what is your plan to fix this? I ask this to raise awareness about Unit Readiness. You can have the best unit full of the best Soldiers, but you are not ready if you are not Movement Ready!

I'm in a non deployable unit right now, but I was the UMO for my last unit in Germany

Reality is, only in the books do units move themselves as a whole in combat. Training missions and the like, the unit providing outload duties is not normally the unit deploying.
That said, Sure I was a UMO, a Federally certified Hazmat certifier, Certified Airforce Load planner. Yes, prior to each inspection we had a load out plan... and yes many times i trained a rail team, an Aircraft load teams, and used them to move ourselves in training deployments. Not once in 5 deployments to combat did we do much more then get our vehicles to DAG then follow the leader though the process being run by the unit tasked to support the deployment.

Yep did that for 4 different unit movements for a battalion element. 2 Chem BN. I was the UMO NCOIC.

Yes I was a company level UMO , But I did battalion and brigade UMO task as well.
