Do you agree that we (THE USA) is kind of like in the spot the American Indians were in? See photo

Per the photo, I would agree that it does seem that way... The only difference? We kinda know what their intent is and the harm they can do, and yet? We allow it anyway...

Sgt Kelli Mays I think the "comment" by the indigenous american on the left is most reasonable. The one on the left is incredibly naive.
The various and sundry indigenous tribes we now refer to as American Indians dealt with westerners in many different ways - some sided with various groups of westerners in the French and Indian War, the Revolutionary War, War of 1812 and US Civil War. Westerners certainly significantly impacted the lives of the tribal people they came into contact with from trading to occupying land for farming to exterminating them.
As far as the 'Syrian" refugees are concerned I hope that everyone who comes to this country (1) is vetted as much as possible and that fingerprints, DNA is recorded for each and that each of the refugees is located somewhere which is monitored so that they will not disappear and blend into a population.

Absolutely not. This analogy doesn't even come close to applying.
The Indians didn't understand the Europeans. The Syrians are not bringing wildly more potent guns, germs, steel, or communication and organizational systems to our land. They don't have the capability in any way to do what Europeans did to natives in the Americas. Raising the analogy is at best a poor attempt to draw a connection ignoring these facts and at worst a base attempt at manipulation fully knowing the dishonesty.
