I thought repubs said federal jobs are bad and should be eliminated. Now he wants to move those jobs all around the country. Total BS.Response by LTC Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 13 at 2017 2:28 PM2017-01-13T14:28:27-05:002017-01-13T14:28:27-05:00LTC Kevin B.2245819<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I don't like the idea of spending money specifically to move them, but I'd support phasing this in over time, as agencies get realigned, or their buildings get replaced, or whatever. It would break up the beltway bubble, and it would make it harder for lobbying groups and special interests to exert influence.Response by LTC Kevin B. made Jan 13 at 2017 2:43 PM2017-01-13T14:43:46-05:002017-01-13T14:43:46-05:00SSG James Arlington2245941<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>As long as they're in my congressional district!Response by SSG James Arlington made Jan 13 at 2017 3:16 PM2017-01-13T15:16:37-05:002017-01-13T15:16:37-05:00PO1 Don Gulizia2246034<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I think it should be a combination of staying and going. If they all leave than the property values in DC will plummet. We would lose money by having govt buildings empty. So, there should be some agencies or part of agencies here in DC. However, in the age of VTCs, there is no reason why we can’t “share the wealth.” If we look at the most depressed areas of the U.S., can you imagine FBI HQ in Detroit? Locality pay would decrease for civil servants (save govt $$) and revitalize the new host city. Why is the Office of Naval Intelligence in Suitland, MD? Why not in the Hampton Roads area? I think it’s a good idea, but would have to be done smart.Response by PO1 Don Gulizia made Jan 13 at 2017 3:50 PM2017-01-13T15:50:27-05:002017-01-13T15:50:27-05:00SGT David T.2246043<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I vote for Huntsville :PResponse by SGT David T. made Jan 13 at 2017 3:55 PM2017-01-13T15:55:53-05:002017-01-13T15:55:53-05:00SSG Roger Ayscue2247023<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I generally agree with about 95% of what Rep Chaffetz saysResponse by SSG Roger Ayscue made Jan 13 at 2017 10:44 PM2017-01-13T22:44:24-05:002017-01-13T22:44:24-05:00SSG Waldo Yamada2247093<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>It would be a logistical disaster.Response by SSG Waldo Yamada made Jan 13 at 2017 11:07 PM2017-01-13T23:07:39-05:002017-01-13T23:07:39-05:00MSgt Private RallyPoint Member2248721<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Just another example of wasting taxpayers money, Leave them where they are.Response by MSgt Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 14 at 2017 4:20 PM2017-01-14T16:20:38-05:002017-01-14T16:20:38-05:002017-01-13T14:05:33-05:00
