This picture was making its rounds a few months ago and we pretty much picked it apart on Facebook. <br /><br />The first thing to notice is the name, "Z Brannigan." Zap Brannigan is a very arrogant character on the cartoon Futurama and this is something he would say.<br /><br />Secondly, the picture is cropped and there is no way to tell if the receipt is the merchant or customer copy. The popular theory is that the customer did this as a joke on his/her copy of the receipt and took a picture to post on social media.<br /><br />It was originally posted on the Ranger Up! website with no explanation other than "Don't be that guy." No one named Z Brannigan has stepped forward to claim responsibility and the Red Robin (yum!) restaurant has withheld comment as well.<br /><br />All in all, I think it's a joke gone bad. These people work for less than minimum wage. They rely on tips. If the service was adequate, you should always leave the minimum, usually 15%.
