I am hoping that is wasn't a Service Member. If it was, then he needs some wall to wall counseling.

I always feel a twinge of guilt when I ask if a store offers a military discount, let alone being a blatant ass like what is shown here.

That's a special level of D-Baggery.

I hope his chain of command sees this photo and has an official counseling session with him. He needs to be told that, when in public, he is the face of the military and is directly responsible for how and what civilians think of the military.

The military needs to do a better job of training our lower ranked members in regards to public awareness.

It was my decision to go they owe us nothing. I even tip when the service is bad.

What this guy did was stiff his server. No more, no less. It is a punk move. The handwritten note is just icing on the cake. All the server did was his/her job.
Unfortunately for this guy, his name will be all over the place.

If he is in fact a soldier, he is remiss for not understanding that waiters and waitresses count on tips to fund their humble lives. He is a narcissist and feels a sense of entitlement.

I have never felt like my time in the service means I should be treated differently or not have to do something such as tipping. It isn't that big of a deal to leave something for the waiter/waitress, especially when that's most of their income.

People who have served understand that everyone has bills to pay, for the most part they treat those with respect that give them respect and not tipping goes against our military values.

I doubt this was real. This picture was making its rounds a few months ago and we pretty much picked it apart on Facebook.

The first thing to notice is the name, "Z Brannigan." Zap Brannigan is a very arrogant character on the cartoon Futurama and this is something he would say.

Secondly, the picture is cropped and there is no way to tell if the receipt is the merchant or customer copy. The popular theory is that the customer did this as a joke on his/her copy of the receipt and took a picture to post on social media.

It was originally posted on the Ranger Up! website with no explanation other than "Don't be that guy." No one named Z Brannigan has stepped forward to claim responsibility and the Red Robin (yum!) restaurant has withheld comment as well.

All in all, I think it's a joke gone bad.

No! These people work for less than minimum wage. They rely on tips. If the service was adequate, you should always leave the minimum, usually 15%. I have been fortunate in my career and I am ashamed by anyone who can afford 15% not leaving it.
