I personnaly beleive that by letting it known that the American military will leave the battlefield on a sertain day is to let the enemy know that they will be able to inflict the most damage if they wait till that time to attack as it will be the weakist time for the military

This simply allows the enemy to stand down its offensive operations, and wait until we withdraw to resume their push. It' just basic OPSEC. We don't broadcast mission specific information. Why would we tell everybody when we're going to cease military operations?

I couldn't agree with you more. It's just like ship's movement, you don't broadcast when they are leaving or when they will be pulling into port until 24 hrs prior. Doing this prevents the enemy, if you will, from having any time to plot something.

It is my belief that this was done by an inexperienced person who has no idea as to how the military works du to the fact that they never served in the military and the refusal to listen to the councel of the military advisors who have been there on the battle field.  This inturn leads me to the belief that no president should be elected without prior military service.

I agree.  It's no different then when you tell your Soldiers, Marines, Airmen and Sailors not to divulge that information.  It's simple OPSEC.  I guess some people don't realize that the bad guys watch CNN, too.
