Do you do the ACFT in AIT now or still the APFT?

As far as I understand the training houses are now using the new ACFT. The APFT is now phased out.

Currently I am reclassing (switching my mos) and I’m at Ft Sill... the classes that have been here since last year are doing both but the apft is a graduation requirement, but for me since I got here in January the acft is the requirement, we don’t do the apft

The APFT remains the official fitness test for the Army until OCT 1st or FY 21 once everyone is trained and have taken two “not for record” ACFTs. Once FY 21 rolls around, goodbye old APFT (PU, SU, 2M) Now I’m speaking for DLI and DLI only, we now receive Trainees having taken the new Army Basic Training Physical Fitness Test which is designed to assist every individual in their efforts to pass the minimum scores of the ACFT. Upon arrival to AIT, they still take the old APFT. During their tenure here as a student, we Drill Sergeants train ALL Soldiers to meet and exceed those minimums with some of the best training regimens. This includes prior service, those changing their MOS, Officers, and Senior Enlisted as well. Metrics are showing the majority of failures come from the leg tuck. Run times are more or less the same. Solution? Damn good training, diet, stretches, and consistency reinforced by good ol’ discipline. Time to get fit or get out of our way.

The ACFT is a graduation requirement in AIT, OSUT, BOLC, WOBC.
