Do you feel that registering on the VA Airborne Hazard and Open Burn Pit Registry is worth it?

Probably won't know the value until later if more folks start having issues. It at least gives them an idea how many folks were exposed and where they served at during the exposure. I can see the value of being able to cross reference ailments with specific sites and times served at those places as issues crop up with veterans later in life.

Yes I do. I did not get any ratings for it but maybe in the future I will or at least the information they gather might help others in the future get the care that they or I need

It doesn't do anything good or bad. I registered for it when it was first created because I was at balad at the biggest burn pit when they were at their worst. Maybe, one day, 40 years from now the VA will recognize service-connected disabilities do to burn pit exposure. The registry is basically a will call list just in case burn pit exposure ever becomes a recognized Factor

Will it do any good, I hope so but finally completing it after 10 or so attempts gives me that little cushy feeling that if anything does come of it I did register.

Why wouldn't you do it? I'm sure it's easier now than in 40 years when the impact of burn pits has been discovered and you are one of the folks who has the symptoms.
An honest question not meant to divert the purpose of the string, I've been trying to figure out the difference between the pits now and the ones in VN, Korea and WWII

Only covers back to 1998 pictures The pictures I seen illustrate burning large pits with questionable waste (ensuring )of persuading politicians. We burnt human waste using diesel fuel on fire bases , but we didn’t stand any where near like the picture I seen of open bit for compensation. Politicians don’t know anything about burning pits but using for political gains.

I think so, In 10-20 years from now, after a lot of deaths and more public outcry, the politicians may pass an agent orange equivalent presumptive SC list.
