It helps me tremendously in many areas.
Chronic pain, insomnia, lack of appetite, tinnitus, and yes PTSD.
I WAS heavily drugged up for 12 years following 11 surgeries in my final 2 yrs of service. opioids dependence and loss of the will to live.
Maxed out on Fentanyl, morphine, hey dividing, clonazepam/klonopin.
I was a blob of living death and worthless to everyone. My wife endured, thank god, and my family and friends supported my decision. The VA not so much. The VA Dr. actually doubted I could or would ever get free from the opioids, after all it was their treatment.
It works for me.
Am I 100%. Nope.
But I am 100% better than I was as a dying blob in a bed.
Sorry.
It's hard to get around the culture of prescribed medications versus a plant.
Decades of misinformation that could have resulted in me NOT having lost 12 yrs with family and friends and of course, myself.
End of my opinions. In the past I've discontinued narcotic pain meds because of mood-altering effects, and can tolerate low-grade chronic pain better than feeling loopy/giddy. Fortunately, scientists have developed a new strain of non-THC cannabis with all of the benefits and none of the negatives (most notably the "high" which has long-term dopamine repercussions, and the "munchies" which generally do NOT entail a "healthy diet"). Besides, it's the THC that's addictive, not the CBD, which means it could very well be an ideal medication for long-term conditions. I really wish the medical community at large would embrace this and run with it. So many could benefit.
