Does anyone else find themselves looking forward to the day when someone accidently breaks into the wrong house.

Locked doors, an alarm system, two big dogs and a house full of weapons... I pity the fool. Seriously when I do start feeling edgy, I know I need to get out and beat on people with sticks. That seems to work quite well.

No not really don't want to hurt anyone. But Ssg Brown, if the problem did come to combat, yea sometimes. But then I'd patch them up and call an ambulance. Have a good evening?
Strange did have a firework go off about 4 houses down and damn that's a trigger I am having problems with. I think I need to go to the range...

When I get to sleep, I had rather that bump never materialize.

I tried to drink myself into oblivion for 7 years after I returned. That didn't work so I tried other recreational activities and remained clueless for several more years. PTSD has a BROAD field of fire when it hits and numerous areas have nothing to do with combat. I have responded to numerous domestic disturbances on post and PTSD ....created.....MORE PTSD. Physical abuse is traumatic as any, but couple that with a spouse who has never understood exactly what PTSD was, eventually wound up with a double whammy. The person they love is beating the crap out of them and seeing the anger, hearing words from a mouth that 4 hours earlier had professed IMMENSE love, is as traumatic as most battlefields. So that bump in the night just might be the closing of a gun case. The trials we all have been through are easier dealt with if it's only one expected trauma, but when there are 3 distinct actions that can be considered unexpected trauma, it becomes much easier to understand the trauma a mother experiences when she's wondering how her children are coping with the same trauma she is feeling. A continued hell is finally understanding what PTSD ones mother experiences.

No thank you SSG Private RallyPoint Member. I had some jackwagon attempt to break into my home once. Not an experience I EVER want to have again. Last time turned out fortunate for me and the perpetrator as no rounds were fired (he brought a knife to a gun fight). We may not be so lucky the next time.

No, I'd prefer they didn't but I'm ready if they do. I think I can identify every coon, possum, and rabbit in the woods around the house that roams around and makes noise at night.

Hope for..no. But if something like that happens and A. They get past my dogs. B. Make it down my "fatal funnel" to my master bedroom they will regret coming to the wrong house...
