<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Depends on what your report date is on your orders. Normally, unless you're doing hometown recruiting duties, one normally reports to the assignment upon completion of AIT.MSG Private RallyPoint MemberSun, 04 Apr 2021 14:23:17 -04002021-04-04T14:23:17-04:00Response by SPC Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 4 at 2021 2:53 PM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I've heard of it, but only in a few select circumstances. Most guys I know have reported immediately after AIT. Some have been put on light shifts for a week or two until they acclimate to the unit, but yeah pretty much hit the ground running.SPC Private RallyPoint MemberSun, 04 Apr 2021 14:53:25 -04002021-04-04T14:53:25-04:00Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 4 at 2021 3:07 PM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Soldiers at Fort Riley have been reporting after AIT. Once they get to their unit, if they have dependents, they get tdy for house hunting. The downside is they haven't been able to go back home and get their belongings or vehicle. I'm not sure how it is for soldiers that don't have dependents.SGT Private RallyPoint MemberSun, 04 Apr 2021 15:07:21 -04002021-04-04T15:07:21-04:00Response by Cpl Vic Burk made Apr 4 at 2021 8:09 PM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I always got leave between duty stations. Ten days after boot camp, twenty days after training, and thirty days after I got back from overseas on my way to Camp Lejuene, North Carolina.Cpl Vic BurkSun, 04 Apr 2021 20:09:04 -04002021-04-04T20:09:04-04:00Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 5 at 2021 1:32 PM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Assuming its you initial entry, you only earn 2.5 days a month of leave. Depends how long your training is, that is how far you can only take.
