5–35. Rules to notify, counsel, and request permissive temporary duty or excess leave together with separation
c. The following Soldiers are not eligible for any PTDY under any transition program:
(1) Soldiers voluntarily separating as a result of expiration of term of service or expiration of service agreement.

It is dated 2006 with a Rapid Action Revision (RAR) Issue Date: 4 August 2011

No but you can take terminal leave instead of cashing out your saved leave. I highly suggest terminal leave because you keep your benefits including bas and bah. If you sell it you lose your benefits and get taxed at the highest rate "like a bonus".

Yeah they are correct. Getting out of the military, you only get PTDY when you are retiring if I remember correctly

You can ask for (I did and received it) 10 days for travel / relocation. I don't think it was called Permissive TDY because that is for when you will return to work where this is a different thing and I wish I could remember what it was called. I received the 10 days plus my terminal leave. The problem for me was that I had to come back and out-process after being away from the military for over a month.
Have you talked to your chain of command on this? Someone must know what it is, but it is covered under a different reg from the TDY and it is specifically geared to people that are exiting service.

Like the one SPC said he received. I do vaguely remember there being a special leave you can take when ETSing. But to answer your question and if it's important to you. Go to the regulation and seek for yourself; because in the end as you should already know. No one person has all the answers to every question you might have (they will look it up maybe if they care).
