Other than that, I have an automatic backup script that runs every 3 weeks and backs up everything to a 2TB external that is only ever hooked up to the computer around backup times.Response by SGT Aaron Barbee made May 24 at 2015 3:01 PM2015-05-24T15:01:06-04:002015-05-24T15:01:06-04:00SFC Steven Borders693584<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I use a service called back blaze. It does it continuously and makes sure all my information is current and backed up.Response by SFC Steven Borders made May 24 at 2015 8:34 PM2015-05-24T20:34:58-04:002015-05-24T20:34:58-04:00Sgt Mark Ramos694448<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>All hard drives eventually fail. A backup system that happens automatically is best. I prefer a periodic image to a local device, plus continuous cloud based backup. I use a 3TB USB drive for the images once a month, and Carbonite. That way, when the system drive dies I can quickly get up and running with my application and settings, then restore the changes to my data files.Response by Sgt Mark Ramos made May 25 at 2015 12:07 PM2015-05-25T12:07:31-04:002015-05-25T12:07:31-04:00LCDR Rabbah Rona Matlow695709<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>several...Response by LCDR Rabbah Rona Matlow made May 26 at 2015 6:17 AM2015-05-26T06:17:27-04:002015-05-26T06:17:27-04:00SrA Edward Vong695875<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I keep it on my home cloud server, but I also have a backup on another portable drive.Response by SrA Edward Vong made May 26 at 2015 8:52 AM2015-05-26T08:52:24-04:002015-05-26T08:52:24-04:00Maj Private RallyPoint Member2783763<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I do versioning backups with Code42 Crashplan every minute. <br /><br />Sorry to say but if your "backups" are local they're not backups.
