Other than that, I have an automatic backup script that runs every 3 weeks and backs up everything to a 2TB external that is only ever hooked up to the computer around backup times. A backup system that happens automatically is best. I prefer a periodic image to a local device, plus continuous cloud based backup. I use a 3TB USB drive for the images once a month, and Carbonite. That way, when the system drive dies I can quickly get up and running with my application and settings, then restore the changes to my data files. I also backup important files on Google drive and photos on google photos. At the same time the files/photos are backed up on dropbox and amazon photos. Everything is automated.
