Window is loosely written allowing more viruses but there are a lot of programs for it. Linux is very hard to write so vertually virus free but you are limited in programs and need software written usually to your needs. I am a network admin for an accounting firm and we use xenserver which is a based off the linux kernel. It takes most standard linix commands. As far as what i host on those. They are 100% windows. I have pools of random desktops. Then windows servers. My issue with linux is most software companies in the financial field are based off of windows os. I game on my PC, so I run Windows dual boot to Windows on my main computer. I tend to use Linux Mint for everything else.
