Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) can cause many invisible symptoms such as but not limited to: dizziness, headache, altered vision, cognitive impairments, memory issues, balance issues, fatigue, “mental fog” and exercise intolerance. These systems may interfere with daily life activities, Home and professionals responsibilities and social engagement.

If you experiencing these symptoms, you may have an undiagnosed TBI.

At the Marcus Institute for Brain Health (MIBH) we understand that many of the TBI’s our Veterans may have incurred were either not documented or happened outside of combat (Training, car accident, etc.) – We are here to help and try to give you answers. No matter your discharge status or whether it is diagnosed or not, give us the chance to hear you out and potentially help you. We can discuss how what you may think was just a bump on the head or a simple concussion could be a mild-moderate TBI.

I've been to this facility in Denver and it was a very positive experience. They have impressive technology and people who talk about mild / moderate TBI issues in a very knowledgeable way that is clearly informed by personal military experiences. Anyone who answers a "yes" or even a "maybe" to the question above should take a look at the MIBH site. Ya know, you can get a TBI from some of the weirdest things. I once got one while trying snowboarding for the first time on a bunny hill up in northern Minnesota - not even going that fast! It never hurts to go in for a test. If you're asking yourself the question in the first place, go get tested.

When I read this post it broke me down. Yes I am experiencing those symptoms and have been since my incident. I was turned away due to the lack of documentation of the incidents. I was involved in two car accidents, among other incidents that were not documented. I need help.....

was hit in head by 200 piece of at46 float bridge in vietnam. also had 4 concussions before entering service, sports and accidents. I have trouble remembering names, numbers, and appointments. I am 71 old with dibeties type2 from agent orange exposure.

Sirs:
Thank you for this opportunity and source of potential assistance.
I was struck by lightening (Times 2) while instructing soldiers in a field environment. I have some inability with the control and use of my left arm and some pain in the left leg.
I was holding a communication cable attached to an antenna about 30 feet in the air when the antenna was struck by a lightening bolt, The lightening traveled down the antenna cable, through me, and into the water in which I was standing at the base of the antenna. I had made the disconnection from the radio equipment and had the loose end in hand at time of the strike. I was thrown about ten feet from the antenna base and not knocked out or hurt other than being VERY HOT as if standing too close to a fire. Smoke was coming off my clothing and hair when the other individuals arrived at the antenna. I have some loss of feeling and grip ability in the left hand and some pain in the arm. I do not know what medical description has been made concerning this. I do receive some disability in the retirement check but do not know how much of the check is retirement pay and how much is disability.
I would appreciate any assistance that you might give to me or recommendation as to where to carry this further. I do not at present wish to go the congressional route.
