Good day War Fighters,

I've began to focus my financial practice on veterans. I've had success planning for active duty and veterans alike, and would like to answer any questions you may have. My practice focuses on life insurance, disability insurance, and investing for retirement. Through this I've learned a lot about veteran benefits.

Hey thanks for reaching out! Hopefully you'll be able to help some soldiers retire well off. I see far too often soldiers overextending themselves financially and getting into bad spots. It's something most of us have done at one point or another, and hopefully through your experience In the military, you can keep/get some of our soldiers on the right financial track!

I'm a federal employee with a TSP with a 5% match. I'm currently contributing 5% to get the match. I'm 35 years old with 5 more years to hit 20 for my National Guard retirement, but plan to stay much longer. Should I be contributing more to my TSP? Maybe increase the percentage every couple years? Any advice you could provide would be great! Thanks!

I actually am in the market for life insurance. I farted around and never signed up for VGLI when I was eligible. Now all the options I look into seem to either be term insurance or don't offer enough coverage for a reasonable price.
