Not only is it a great way to channel anger but you get a bit of satisfaction out of it. I am sure there is a way to incorporate it. And when your done- you might be too tired to think Response by CPT Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 23 at 2016 3:17 PM 2016-08-23T15:17:55-04:00 2016-08-23T15:17:55-04:00 Maj John Bell 1830384 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>This may be contrary to the "recreation" part of your recreation therapy. But I believe nothing is better "chicken soup" for the mind and body than helping someone who needs help and can do nothing in return beyond saying "Thank You". The art is finding the worthy project that matches the team and the recipient and convincing people to get involved. When I left the Army the first time around I interned at a TBI/SCI rehab hospital in the Denver area that had an awesome T-Rec program. It's world-wide, inexpensive (you can begin with a smart phone with the free geocaching app, and a free geocaching account), and a lot of fun. There are many geocachers here on RP that will help if asked.
