Actually, generally not, for the most part, once in a blue moon I might perhaps need to speak with someone occasionally about such things, however, generally, where my wife and I are has actually been, on the whole, reasonably efficient about those aspects, honest, hope was of interest, many thanks.

I have used the pharmacy at two Air Force bases and several civilian pharmacies.

The base pharmacies out perform the civilian pharmacies.

And the cost is the best.

No issues. I use Express Scripts mail order home delivery. They also take care of renewals with my Doc. I get an email when the next batch is shipped en route. It's way cheaper than when i was using a pharmacy.

Yes, I have problems getting a certain generic Rx from the VA. They give me the round one that does not work where the oval one does. My Doctor at the VA told me that other patients have complained the same, but the Pharmacy only gives you what they feel like giving you (generic drugs can vary 30%). My doctor cannot request the one I need, since the VA is a government agency monopoly. If I recall the government is always trying to break up monopolies unless it is them. I pay out of pocket for my one service connected Rx, because my grocery store competes for my business and they want it. They give me exactly what I need. The VA says take it or leave it. So I leave it. Veterans should all get insurance cards then we can go where we want. If a Doctor or pharmacy doesn’t give us what we need we can CHOOSE to give our business to someone else. With the VA there is NO choice.

I've been getting my meds exclusively from the VA for about 7 years now with no problems from the Augusta, ME VA. I use My Healthy Vet for refills and now get delivery notification and tracking as well
