Why is this happening? Do you have to pay a recoupment for failing classes in a semester using tuition assistance from the state? 2019-01-12T21:43:32-05:00 SPC Private RallyPoint Member 4281799 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I received no money from the army last semester and now they want me to pack back a debt that for some reason has collected in my GoArmyEd account. I&#39;m not sure if you can get a waiver or petition to remove the hold, or if you have to retake the class that you failed in order to replace the grade and increase your GPA. You can call your state education office to ask. I wasn&#39;t asked. I was told. So I did it. I was using GI Bill at the time. The VA didn&#39;t recognize that as legitimate AD service - it turned out to be ADSW. That created a problem and wow was I angry. I got help from my congressman, but that only worked temporarily. In the end, I think used all my benefits eventually, so I guess it works out - but my hunch (and it&#39;s only that) is pessimistic on this. Also, if the class fails to report your score in time it will count as an incomplete class and you will be required to pay back the benefits or contact the teacher to make sure your grade is correctly reported.
