Can't speculate, but have contractor friends that undergo them periodically. Depends on what you are doing. Unless you have any dark secrets, a polygraph should not concern you. They require them to find out.Response by CWO3 Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 21 at 2020 9:27 AM2020-12-21T09:27:53-05:002020-12-21T09:27:53-05:00Sgt Private RallyPoint Member6597418<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>RallyPoint requires our members to use their real names. There are two types I'm aware of - the CI polygraph and lifestyle poly. The CI is not that indepth. I had one when I got to Cybercom and we had to get one to work in the NSA building. That basically asks about any foreign contacts/associates or if you've had any security violations. The lifestyle one is the one they go indepth about your entire life. <br /><br />I can't see how people are failing the CI polygraph frequently though.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 21 at 2020 3:57 PM2020-12-21T15:57:18-05:002020-12-21T15:57:18-05:00SGT(P) Private RallyPoint Member6598303<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Yes, in almost all cases you will need a polygraph. But you won't have to take one until after you're MOS qualified.Response by SGT(P) Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 21 at 2020 5:04 PM2020-12-21T17:04:41-05:002020-12-21T17:04:41-05:00SSG(P) Private RallyPoint Member6601310<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Yes you do. They usually do that after you pass DLI and are at Goodfellow AFB.Response by SSG(P) Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 22 at 2020 8:19 PM2020-12-22T20:19:12-05:002020-12-22T20:19:12-05:00SFC Kory Schaubhut6644582<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I required a CI scope polygraph for various things I did during my career, but not merely to be awarded the 35P MOS. I retired in 2013. Some other respondents are saying you have to take them now -- they're probably right.<br /><br />The CI scope polygraph is the easy one, really not a big deal. It's approximately five questions and they're all centered on intent to commit espionage, treason, etc. It's not the more intrusive "lifestyle" polygraph.Response by SFC Kory Schaubhut made Jan 9 at 2021 5:54 AM2021-01-09T05:54:31-05:002021-01-09T05:54:31-05:00Kyung Oh6647545<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>yes polyResponse by Kyung Oh made Jan 10 at 2021 10:20 AM2021-01-10T10:20:13-05:002021-01-10T10:20:13-05:002020-12-21T08:08:57-05:00
